 Frequently Asked Questions
Desktop Video FAQs Q: The edges of my display shake or quiver rapidly. What causes this and what can I do about it?
A: You may be getting interference from something in the room. The source is usually electrical. The effect may be constant or intermittent, depending on the source. A large power source or other interference near the monitor usually causes constant shaking. Intermittent effects are caused when other devices are turned on or off. Possible sources of interference:
Power base with plugs and switches.Printer or other peripheralsPower strips.Fluorescent lights.Appliances containing motors.Wiring inside walls, floors or ceilingsElectric meter or power panel.Metal shelving. You can try turning off all peripherals near the computer. If the shaking is reduced or gone, begin turning on one device at a time to identify the item causing the problem. If the shaking is still there, then try to move the computer to a different room.
