Q: My monitor's image no longer fills the entire screen. It has a black border around the edges. How do I get it full screen again?
A: The refresh rate may have been set higher than necessary. The following will help you change the refresh rate:
-
On your screen, locate and click the Start button. From the Start menu, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
-
At the Control Panel window, double-click the Display icon, and then click the Settings tab.
-
On the Settings tab, click the Advanced Properties button, and then click the Adapter tab.
-
At the Adapter tab, click the drop-down arrow in the Refresh rate dialog box.
-
From the list choose a lower rate then click OK.
You may also need to open the door on the monitor and use the adjustment buttons there to make the screen wider or taller.
