Q: I just installed four 4MBx9 SIMM's in my Flyer SC or Flyer SD+, but the machine only counts up 10 megabytes. What's do I do?
Since the SC and SD+ can only address 16 megabytes of RAM, you must disable the built-in two megabytes on the motherboard before you can bring the total memory to exactly 16. This is done by changing the setting on jumper JP8 on the motherboard. It is near the front of machine, next to the SIMM sockets, with jumpers on pins 1-3 and 2-4. Move these to pins 3-5 and 4-6, then restart the machine. This should only be done when the machine is upgraded to exactly 16 megabytes of RAM.

A: The Flyer 32DT and SD32 do not support 8MB (2MBx36) SIMMs. It will only take the 4MB and 16MB modules (1MBx36 and 4MBx36, respectively).
