I am installing Window NT on a 4 gigabyte RAID array.  NT only sees the first 1 gigabyte.

I am trying to rebuild a failed driveunder either the Power Console, ADAC Manager or ADAC BIOS. However, the rebuild keeps failing.

Q: I am installing Window NT on a 4 gigabyte RAID array.  NT only sees the first 1 gigabyte.

This is normal when the RAID has been divided into more than one logical drive. The remaining disk space will be available as unformatted space in Disk Administrator after the installation is complete. The other option is to configure the RAID as a single logical drive. NT will see the entire available space upon installation. You can then use Disk Administrator to partition the drive however you like.

Select Objects/Physical Drives. Highlight each remaining drive in the array in question, press enter and select View Drive Information. Look at Media Errors and Other Errors. If you see anything other than 0 in each field, your rebuild will always fail unless you replace this drive, too.
