How To Identify a Gateway Solo

In order to access the correct information, drivers and etc. for your Gateway Solo it may be necessary to identify which system you have. Identification for your Solo is located on the bottom of the system. Turn it over and read the label. Below is the information you'll need to correctly identify your Solo.

You can identify most Solo Systems by simply looking at the "MODEL NO:." The type of system will be listed beside the model number.

 
 
Chassis Revisions

If you have a Solo 2300 or 9100 Portable PC, you will also need to know the "chassis revision" of your system.

For the Solo 2300:
If the chassis revision starts with D1 through D3, the system is a Solo 2300 w/12" LCD.
If the chassis revision starts with D4 (shown), the system is a Solo 2300 w/13" LCD.
 

For the Solo 9100:
If the chassis revision starts with E1 through E3, the system is a Solo 9100 w/13" LCD (Revision Code E1 - E3).
If the chassis revision starts with E4, the system is a Solo 9100 w/14" LCD (Revision Code E4 only).
If the chassis revision starts with E6 or above (shown), the system is a Solo 9100 w/14" LCD (Revision Code E6 and up).
