What is Gateway's Internship Program?
The Gateway Internship Program provides "real," leading edge opportunities for students from a wide variety of disciplines. The program provides students with the opportunity to work closely with talented individuals in a stimulating environment with exposure to tomorrow's technology today.
Through organized activities, interns will be encouraged to network professionally and socially with staff and other interns from across the United States. The networking provided will offer academic stimulation and professional insight that will prepare students for a successful career within our industry.

We are currently seeking top talent for full-time hire and internships in the following areas:
Finance - MBA only
Marketing - MBA only
Business Development - MBA only
Retail
Internet
E-Commerce
Software Development
Network Management
Resumes for internships are accepted between September 1st and March 1st. There are four main criteria that students must meet to be eligible for an internship with Gateway. Students must:
- Have completed their sophomore year of college by the time the internship begins.
- Be actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree at a four-year, accredited institution. We do not accept resumes from students for internships if they have graduated from college, unless they will be attending grad school in the coming fall.
- Be in good academic standing. We define this as having a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. We will give consideration to those students with a lower GPA who are very involved in their school and community activities.
- Be involved in their campus or community environment. This demonstrates the flexibility and time management skills needed to succeed at Gateway.

Gateway's success was achieved for three primary reasons:

What is remarkable about those three is that all of them were there from the very beginning. Ted Waitt - Founder, Chairman and CEO of Gateway - and Mike Hammond - Senior Vice President of Manufacturing -started out in 1985 putting together PCs one-at-a-time...in Waitt's family farm in Iowa. The little company grew in those early years because it won the trust of its customers...it won the loyalty of its employees...and it won the respect of the rest of the industry through creativity and innovation.
These same attributes that continue to power Gateway today, have turned the born-on-a-farm start-up into an $8 billion a year, global leader dedicated to nothing less than "Humanizing the Digital Revolution."
Where in the world are we?
Gateway is a global company serving clients and markets throughout the world.
The company's headquarters are located in San Diego, CA.
Gateway's largest facility - approximately 5,000 employees -- is located in North Sioux City, SD, which is also near the birthplace of the company.
Gateway operates other major U.S. facilities in Colorado Springs and Lakewood, CO; Hampton, VA; Irvine, CA; Kansas City, MO; Rio Rancho, NM; Salt Lake City, UT; and Sioux Falls and Vermillion, SD.
Gateway's European/Middle East/Africa region is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.
Gateway's Asia-Pacific region includes operations in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore.
Gateway Country stores began opening in 1996, and there are now many locations throughout the U.S..
