To run Microsoft® Windows®XP Home Office or Professional Edition, your computer system must meet these requirements:

To upgrade to Microsoft Windows®XP Home Edition, you must have one of the following operating systems currently installed:

Once you have your copy of Microsoft Windows®XP, you'll need the following items handy:
1. Microsoft Windows®XP CD-ROM
2. Microsoft Windows®XP Product Key (located on the back of the Microsoft Windows®XP
folder)
3. Pen or pencil
4. Internet information: If you are connecting to the Internet, you'll need to provide some
additional information. You can establish your Internet connection during the setup
process or postpone it until you're done.
5. Network Information: Before connecting to a network, be sure to have the following
information nearby before running Setup:
" Your computer name
" Name of your workgroup or domain
" Domain user name and password
" TCP/IP address (if your network doesn't have a DHCP server) |
