Solo® 2300 or 9100 power LED stays lit

ISSUE: On the Solo® 2300 or 9100 with a 13.3 LCD screen, the red power LED indicator may light up but will not go away.

RESOLUTION: This issue is resolved by loading the appropriate BIOS on each computer. The new BIOS will allow the computer to communicate with the battery more effectively.

For the Solo® 2300, load BIOS 7.33, filename 7502265.exe, resolves the issue.

For the Solo® 9100, BIOS 8.16, filename 7502799.exe, resolves the issue.

Note: Verify the chassis revision on the bottom of the Solo 9100 before flashing a BIOS. BIOS 8.16 cannot be used to flash Solo 9100's with 14.1" LCD panels. For these computers, use a different BIOS.

Follow the directions included with the BIOS file to flash the BIOS. Once the new BIOS is flashed to the computer, charge the battery to 100%. If the battery indicator light does turn red, the light should only last 4 to 5 seconds and then return to orange (charging) or green (charged fully).
