Information about these different methods...
System requirements for Software CineMaster (SoftDVD) software include...
- 300 MHz Pentium II® processor
- 64 MB RAM
- any AGP video card (see part number list...)
- Windows 95 or Windows 98 (ONLY)
Software CineMaster, also known as SoftDVD, would have been included with the system or DVD drive from Gateway Add-on sales on its own CD or as part of a Gateway Restoration CD version 6.1 or later.
In many cases, if a system is unable to support Software CineMaster, it will be noted during its installation and report "You are not AUTHORIZED to install this software". If this happens, quit the installation.

System requirements for Mpact Mediaware software include... *
- 166 MHz Pentium® processor (200 MHz or greater recommended)
- 32 MB RAM
- Mpact!® DVD controller card (includes any motherboard or video card with this integrated hardware)
- video card supported for Gateway DVD drives (unless motherboard or video card has integrated Mpact!® DVD controller)
- Windows 95 or Windows 98 (ONLY)

Mpact Mediaware software would have been included with the system or DVD drive from Gateway Add-on sales on an "Mpact Mediaware" CD or as part of a Gateway Restoration CD version 5.4 or later.
